Radha, a young cowherd girl,
Her eyes brimming with tears,
Waited all through the long years
For Krishna\u2019s return to Vrindavan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The banks of the Yamuna were her home,
Where she wished everyday to roam,
For the glimpse of her divine lord\u2019s face,
Her longing knew no time or space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The birds, beasts and trees sang a tune,
Of love and divine longing,
The Gopis knew and all could feel,
Her divine love for him was real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she kept a flame burning in her heart,
Alone, and yet she was never apart,
Waiting for her lord\u2019s return to her,
There to be with him, forever more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
